Happy Chinese New Year!~!~

Wednesday was the Chinese traditional New Year’s Day. We didn’t go to school on that day. I lived in Jennifer’s dorm, and we went to bed very early, because we want to catch the time in china. In China, every family should eat dumplings at 12 o’clock on New Year’s Eve. We woke up at 4 o’clock in the morning. Chenz and another boy who was our friend came to Jennifer’s dorm. We started to cook dumplings together. We were cooking the dumplings when we were watching TV which showing the new year’s special program. It was very interesting wonderful. I gave my parents a call for saying happy new yeas to them. They were very happy when they received my call. The dumplings were very delicious because we put pork, Chinese cabbage, shrimp meat and chives in side. This was the first time I cook dumplings by myself and also the first time I celebrated the New Year’s Day in Calgary. I miss my parents very much, but I didn’t feel lonely because I have a lot of friends with me. New Year means new starting point, I hope I can have a new improvement in the New Year and my parents have good health.
